Here we record key events and insights to track the progress of innovation platforms as simply as possible. We use the 4-elements of innovation systems suggested by the WB as a framework. This is designed to be a dynamic and participatory way of recording the evolution of innovation capacity at our study sites and should provide raw material for reflecting back on how the platforms evolved and what impact they had. I would suggest that all those involved in innovation aspects of N2 should feel free to update this regularly based on events as they evolve. This is just a draft but we need to start somewhere. Feel free to amend or suggest something different. Some notes on info categories:
Event: e.g. Platform meeting, field trip ...
Actors: which actors are currently involved. Also which actors are coming in or leaving
Interactions: comments on any key linkages that are being strengthened through the platform - what is the nature of the linkage?
Habits and practices: what are we seeing in terms of institutions that are inhibiting innovation? How are these changing as a result of the platform?
Enabling environment: any changes to the external environment that have a bearing on innovation at local level. Also any changes resulting from platform activity
Actions emerging: What innovations, organizational or technical, do we see emerging as a result of platform activity?
